Writing Assignment
This past Tuesday my English professor assigned my classmates and I a writing assignment for homework. The writing assignment had to be a paragraph on a topic you love or anything your the most interested in. It could not just be any paragraph it had to be a paragraph where you are only allowed to use one syllable words. We did an example in class. When I was writing my example in class said to myself this doesn't sound right, and it didn't, but I guess that the point of using one syllable words. Even though I'm in college you would have thought I was in sixth grade. When I returned home I choose another topic to write about other than the one I had written in class earlier. I wrote about my boyfriend. What made this writing assignment fun was I found myself playing the syllable game that I was thought when I was younger. To make sure every word was one syllable I clapped as I said the word. I felt like a big kid, but I must admit this assignment was fun and kind of difficult at the same time trying to get everything to sound correct.
Schedule Reflection
I love my schedule this semester. Monday, Wednesday and Friday I have class from 1 pm to 2:50 pm. Tuesday and Thursday's I have class from 10-11:15, 12-1:50 and 2:30-3:45.Every Tuesday due to the fact I'm in the Freshman Academy Institute, I have to attend study tables. Study tables are where each student is to bring their homework to get help on it or to just get it done. If you are struggling with math or writing, they have consultants come in to assist those who need help in those classes which I find so helpful. Every other Wednesday I have my U.S. 180 class. U.S. 180 is the part of the Freshman Academy Institute which makes up the other half of your credit, so in order to receive the whole credit you had to take this class. What I like so much about my schedule is being done with my classes so early on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's because it gives me time to do my homework for the three class I have on Tuesday and Thursdays. Even though Tuesday and Thursday's are my busiest day I still manage to get everything done.

Critical Thinker
A time I would say I exhibited characteristics of a critical thinker was when I had to make a important decision. I had noticed many things going wrong within my relationships with some of my friends. Before I could come up with a final decision, I had to first get everyone's side of the story. After I listened to everyone's story I then had to put my critical thinking skills to work. I had to ask myself multiple questions, such as Am I ready to risk loosing those who are important to me over little things?. That then made me think how short life really is and how hurt I would be if anything was to happen to one of them. That's when I realized the petty drama occurring in our relationships can be worked out.
